The viewers of bollywood films wish happy birthday to Ajay Devgan on 2nd April, 2009. He had contributed a lot in bollywood films in the last 20 years. He started his career with the superhit film Phool Aur Kaante.

As his father Veeru Devgan had a great background of training actors for action sequences and Ajay Devgan started his career with the latent quality of an action hero. The action sequences in Phool Aur Kaante were excellent. Also the music of the film became hit with songs like “premi pagal awara”, “tumko milne ko dil karta hai”, etc., sung by Kumar Shanu and Alka Yagnik, which were picturized on Ajay Devgan and Madhu.

The other successful films of Ajay Devgan include Ishq, Dilwale, Pyar To Hona Hi Tha, etc. In Ishq, he acted with Amir Khan, Juhi Chawla and Kajol, and contributed well in the comedy sequences of the film. The film was based on the story of affairs between rich and poor people and the fathers of Juhi Chawla and Ajay Devgan never wanted to get their children married to poor people. The music of the film was very successful with songs like “ishq hua”, “humko tumse pyar hai”, etc.

Ajay Devgan also acted in very serious films like Raincoat opposite Aishwarya Rai, which was directed by Rituporno Ghosh, Zakhm, Gangaajal , etc. He had created an identity of a reserve actor and that image helped him in getting landmark roles for the last 10 years. His other successful films include Golmaal and Golmaal Returns.

In both Golmaal and Golmaal Returns Ajay Devgan acted with other comedians like Arshad Warsi and Tushaar Kapoor and maintained the rhythm of the film. Tushar Kapoor played the role of a deaf and dumb character in the film and at the end of the film got the job, the girl for marriage, as against the interests of his other friends.

Ajay Devgan married successful actress Kajol and both had acted together in a number of films like Pyar To Hona Hi Tha, Ishq, You, Me and Hum, etc., most of which were successful. Even Ajay Devgan’s role of a ghost in the film Kaal opposite Lara Dutta, John Abraham and others were well appreciated by viewers. His performance in patriotic roles like that of Shahid Bhagat Singh also requires special mention.

The viewers expect Ajay Devgan to continue his good work both as an actor and also producer, director in the years to come.

Fixated on mending what looked like a pair of board shorts, the buxom blonde basked up the rays while her companion flipped the bird at nearby paparazzi.

In related news, Pammie recently announced that she’ll be teaming up with designer Richie Rich for a line of environmentally-friendly fashion.

With Miss Anderson attending Richie’s fashion show in Miami over the past weekend, the two will be creating a line that’s “vegan and features leather-free shoes and casual clothes, including hooded tops, skirts and swimwear for the new Muse brand.”

Talking about the line, Pam says: “I really don’t like to wear clothes. I would rather go naked. But I love Richie’s designs, so I agreed to be part of Muse.”

Boosting sales at her own shop, Kim Kardashian was spotted making a few purchases at the Dash boutique in Calabasas on Tuesday (March 31).

After finishing up at her store, the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” cutie then went over to the Westfield Mall in Woodland Hills for another round of retail therapy.

Meanwhile, Kim recently received a little flack for her recent Complex magazine photo shoot, in which untouched photos showed off a little cellulite.

Coming to the E! reality star’s defense was Playboy beauty Holly Madison, who said, “Kim looks amazing. She’s a gorgeous girl, and she’s got nothing to hide!”

Eva Longoria: Scavenger Cup Cutie

Always willing to take part in charitable endeavors, chairwoman Eva Longoria attended The Rally For Kids With Cancer Scavenger Cup press conference in Glendale on Tuesday (March 31).

The “Desperate Housewives” beauty is gearing up for the actual rally, which is scheduled to run on May 1 and 2 in Los Angeles.

All proceeds from the Scavenger Cup are donated to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Eva’s main endeavor, Padres Contra el Cancer.

During the actual race, Longoria plans on acting as a navigator, joined by fellow celebrity helping hands including Shannon Tweed, Mario Lopez, the Baldwin brothers and Terrence Howard, among others.

Jennifer Aniston isn't making any "friends" on the set of her new movie The Baster. And in related news, I'm going to dive into traffic for writing that last pun.OK! Magazine reports:

"In the morning, the cast and crew had to wait to start filming without Jen because she asked for extra time to finishing blow-drying her hair," reveals one source.
And when the lunch bell rang, not only did Jen not deign to eat her Cobb salad in the company of her new co-workers, she actually had herself driven to her trailer so she could eat alone!
"Jen refused to walk even a step outside the restaurant during the break for lunch," says an insider. "She had her car pull up right next to the restaurant so she could be driven less than a block to her trailer to avoid photographers."

Although, in her defense, Jennifer Aniston did just break up with a guy who'd rather Twitter than stick his penis in her vagina, so maybe we should cut her some slack. But not until I finish tweeting about my breakfast: "just ate a Pop Tart. they're my favey's!!!1 :D" Okay, done.

Lady GaGa is Fan Friendly

Lady GaGa (a.k.a. Stefani Germanotta) has come out of nowhere over the past year and suddenly you can't turn on the radio without hearing her music or open a magazine without seeing her face half covered by big sunglasses. But apparently she hasn't let any of this go to her head, as she's still more than willing to go the extra mile for her fans.

“I feel embarrassed saying this but the strangest thing I ever autographed was a man’s penis,” she laughs.

The 23-year-old “Just Dance” star was left red-faced singer when a smitten admirer made the X-rated request following a performance in Canada.

Dhiraj Bhattacharya was considered as one of the meritorious performers of Bengali silver screen in the 50s. With an impressive screen presence he was initially cast in the film Behula Lakhindar which was based on folk tales. The romantic performance attracted the attention of viewers during an age when films were at their process of advancement. He followed it up with romantic performance in the film Shohor Theke Dure where Johor Ganguly and Molina Debi also had significant roles.

In the early 50s, Dhiraj Bhattacharya amazed the viewers with a remote style of dialogue throwing in the film Hanabari. It was a detective film directed by eminent writer Premendra Mitra. There was a spooky house where tenants could not stay for a long period. The treasure that was hidden beneath the house was the attraction for which the culprit in the film created illusion in the minds of the tenants and driven them away. Dhiraj Bhattacharya played the role of the detective who disguised himself as a beggar and stayed in the vicinity of the spooky house. At the end of the film he solved the mystery to Pronoti Bhattacharya, Mita Chatterji and their relatives who came to stay in that house.

During that time Bengali films were already blessed with romantic heroes like Uttam Kumar, Bosonto Choudhury, Asit Boron, Bikash Roy and others. Dhiraj Bhattacharya used his acting skills in negative roles and created attention amongst the viewers. His performance in the film Konkal requires special mention. He killed his wife Malaya Sarkar in the film and buried her in his house. Her skeleton came back to the house to revenge against Dhiraj Bhattacharya. The film used to considered one of the most innovative horror films of early 50s.

His other successful film include Dakinir Chor. There was also he showed his skills in converting a stick into a revolver to defend himself before the investigating agency during the investigation of the crime which was alleged to have been committed by him. His performance in the film Moroner Pore requires special mention. Uttam Kumar was mental doctor who treated Pronoti Bhattacharya who had a reincarnation. She told the people about the killing of her husband in her previous birth by Dhiraj Bhattacharya. The romantic pair of Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen was as impressive as Dhiraj Bhattacharya who had created revolution in villainish performances. Bharati Debi played the role of the person who was reborn in the form of Pronoti Bhattacharya.

Incidentally Dhiraj Bhattacharya was the zamindar of the estate of Panjia, near Jessore, in Bangladesh. Instead of performing in roles involving landlords he used his innovative skills in depicting negative characters. His other impressive roles include the role of the Diwan in the film Neela Chole Mahaprahu based on the life of Lord Chaitanya.

Similarly he spoke the language of Jessore (Bangal) in Uttam Kumar’s film Ora Thake Odhare to perfection. He also did well in Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen’s film Sanjher Pradeep. It is a tragedy that Dhiraj Bhattacharya died at a very early age in the late 50s, when he was considered as one of the most versatile performers like Bikash Roy or Kali Banerjee. The dynamic actor of stage and Bengali films Manoj Mitra was greatly influenced by the dialogue throwing of Dhiraj Bhattacharya.

His performance in character roles marks the beginning of innovative performances in Bengali films and for those reasons his films should be preserved and restored.

Adding a little bounce to her hairdo, Megan Fox showed off a curly new style in Glendale on Monday (March 30).

Wearing a Pabst Blue Ribbon t-shirt, the “Transformers” hottie visited Five Fifteen Salon to change up her look.

Over the weekend, Miss Fox joined her “Transformers” costar Shia LaBeouf as a presenter at the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion.

With their hit movie’s sequel coming out on May 20, the pair promoted away as they awared “Favorite Animated Voice From a Movie” to Jack Black for his work in “Kung Fu Panda”.

Turns out the source of rumors claiming Rihanna is dating Brody Jenner leech Frankie Delgado is, holy shit, Frankie Delgado. Who saw that coming? Besides me and anyone with the cognizance to realize The Hills is scripted. Page Six reports:

Review of Ek: The Power of One.

Bollywood films did not have brilliant start in 2009, the way it had opened in 2008 with hit films like Jodha Akbar or Race at the very early time of the year. Due to recession and other reasons this year films like Billu Barber, Dilli -6 and Raaz – the mystery continues created some interest. The viewers don’t know for sure when the other films were released. The new film Ek: The Power of One also does not look as a very promising film.

Director Sangeeth Sivan has experimented with Bobby Deol and Shriya Sharan in the film Ek: The Power of One. Bobby Deol had a role which was similar to the ones he had played in films like Badal and Bichoo. He had been hired by a CM aspirant to shape an assassination and gather sympathy from the voters. But the killing happened in reality and Bobby Deol had to hide and fled to Hoshiarpur.

He entered a Punjabi House and pretended as the lost son. Over there he got involved with local problems. There were greedy farmers who wanted to grab the land of the relative of Bobby Deol by force. So he got a scope of showing his action skills in that part.

The only interesting part of the film involved the investigation carried out by Nana Patekar in respect of the killing of the CM. It has been seen in the past that whenever powerful actors were given smart scripts they changed the mood of the film. The best example can be Om Puri’s performance in Bobby Deol’s film Gupt. He accelerated the pace of the film and countered the aggressive performance of Bobby Deol.

The same thing happened in this film. Nana Patekar had created interest in the minds of the viewers from the time he stepped in. The film also got pace and direction. Shriya Saran did well but the script did not have much for her.

In a nutshell the film does not have the masala to end up being a blockbuster. Bobby Deol desperately requires a super hit film to remain in the elite list where he was at the time of release of films like Gupt or Soldier. These days action films are not doing well, so in that perspective, if the film does moderate business it is fare for the producer and director.
