Quentin Tarantino wants Timberlake for movie
Quentin Tarantino is keen to cast Justin Timberlake in a new dark comedy.
The outrageous director is planning to make a film about a ruthless trainee hitman and thinks Timberlake could be perfect for the lead role. Tarantino is known for making quirky movies filled with bloodthirsty, violent fight scenes such as Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and most recently Inglourious Basterds.
Tarantino is interested in stripping away Timberlake’s clean-cut image and plans to persuade him to take on the sinister role.
"It's a kind of dark comedy, very much in the Tarantino style," a source said. "Justin is a new raw talent when it comes to acting but Quentin feels he could be ideal for the lead role. He's excited about taking a teen heartthrob and turning him into a cold-blooded killer."
Timberlake has been attempting to make it in Hollywood and has had small roles in several movies. He is currently shooting romantic comedy Friends with Benefits opposite Mila Kunis.
