I am the type of person who likes flipping through fashion magazines, just for the pictures. A picture, if executed well can tell so many stories and inspire you. But besides the brand names and the models featured, what about the photographers who captured that moment?! I start this fascination with my first fashion photographer: TERRY RICHARDSON.

Terry Richardson's photos are known for their controversial and graphic sexual matter. His published photo books are: Hysteric Glamour, Son of Bob, Feared by Men Desired by Women, Too Much, Terryworld, Kibosh, and "Rio Cidade Maravilhosa." Terry Richardson is also known for his advertisements for fashion designers, and editorial photographs. His line of work includes many celebrity pictures, even President Obama. AMBER ROSE SAYS WIZ KHALIFA IS AN UPGRADE FROM KANYE!!!

Amber Rose is usually asked what it was like to date the great Kanye West. Now that she is dating Wiz Khalifa, there's a lot of controversy surrounding her lack of taste in men. She defends it saying, "There’s no comparison in personalities. You know when people say, ‘How do you go from Kanye to Wiz Khalifa, that’s a downgrade.’ But the only question I can ask them is: Have you ever dated Kanye? Because I have, and believe me, I did not downgrade at all. Not in any aspect, at all.”

Since dating Kanye for two years, she vowed to never date another man in the music industry, that is until she met Wiz Khalifa. “I chilled with him for two weeks. We didn’t kiss or nothing. Then he left for Pittsburgh and when he left I was so lost without him. He’s just so positive. He’s one of those people that in any situation he can always see the brighter side to something. And he always has a smile on his face, he’s never in a bad mood, he’s super talented and smart, he’s a boss. Just being around him I realized he’s not no little boy like I thought he was. He’s a grown man about his business.”

Now that that's cleared up, I wonder what the big-headed Kanye has to say. Will his ego grow bigger than it already is?! Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa should prepare for chaos to break out when it comes to dissing Kanye West, stay tuned....DUN DUN DUUUUNNNNNN!!!

CHESTER FRENCH - HARVARD GRADS WITH SOME SWAG

CHESTER FRENCH is an indie pop band consisting of two band members: David-Andrew "D.A" Wallach [lead vocalist & songwriter] and Maxwell Drummey [multi-instrumentalist & songwriter]. Meeting at Harvard University, they decided on their group name after the sculptor Daniel Chester French. In explaining how the band started, D.A. explains, "Chester French started when we were freshmen in college. Max wanted to start a group called Marilyn Manson, which is what he told me in the dining room. And I thought that was a great idea. So we realized there was a conflict, potentially, with the name, but the underlying concept was great and so that's what we've been trying to achieve ever since."

Early supporters of the group include Kanye West and Perez Hilton. Their demo even made it into the hands of Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri. This resulted in a bidding war between Kanye and Pharrell, in which Pharrell ultimately won. He says, "There's something at Star Trak records that we have been very excited about and there's, I don't know. Of course D.A. would want me to sit here and tell you how much of a crazy bidding war there was for them, as everybody in here knows D.A. But you know what? He's right. And if you think about it, think about where they come from and... okay! It's funny. But you know what? Think about it man. Like, Harvard grads? And then on top of that, there really was a bidding war and it really was incredible and we really lost our minds and you're really about to see a great, incredible show."

Since then their career has taken an unprecedented full throttle ride, touring with N.E.R.D., Matisyahu, and Lady Gaga. Chester French contains elements of pop, rock, and ultimately hip-hop. In regards to why hip-hop artists like their music, D.A. jokes, "They find it interesting that we're the first artists to wear whiteface all the time, publicly." Chester French will definitely be one of those names to hear in music's future career because not only are they talented, but many of their songs are undeniably catchy.

KANYE REALIZES "NO ONE MAN CAN HAVE ALL THAT POWER."

Kanye is the next victim in the charity game. Take into consideration Oprah's South African girls school, Madonna's Raising Malawi, and Paris Hilton's Halfway House, Kanye's charity called the Kanye West Foundation seemed to disappear out of thin air as well.

Maggie Neilson, a partner of Global Philanthropy Group talks about why charities seem to disappear so quickly..."either the wrong person ends up running it or the founder just loses interest...it's not just a celebrity thing at all. It doesn't happen with celebrities any more than average people who come into money."

Celebrities can have unique circumstances starting a charity that can threaten it in the long run before it officially launches. Just because of their status in society, celebrities feel pressure to start charities since non-profits are common nowadays. "But if you really don't care about it, there's no way it's going to last."

Kanye's charity has appeared to disappear out of think air. The Kanye West Foundation was about helping kids stay in school, especially in the bad neighborhoods of Chicago where he grew up. One of the causes may have been missing funds where the charity raised an average of $492,000 and made grants averaging $18,080 in the years 2007-2009, which doesn't seem to add up sufficiently.

Another cause that may have led to the disappearance of Kanye's foundation was the passing of his mother Donda nearly four years away, since she was the person who really pushed for the charity.

This shows that being a big celebrity or possessing lots of money does not guarantee a charity to survive. What matters is the effort that person puts to make a cause really known in society so it can survive and help inspire others involved.

COACHELLA CELEBRITY FASHION

Celebrities in the name of music and fashion threw on their best "not trying" looks at the Coachella Valley Music Festival this past weekend. One definite trend was BOHO CHIC.

Kanye West, the last performer of the festival rocked a woman's shirt from Celine's Spring/Summer 2011 Collection. Not only did he make it masculine by opening up the shirt and pairing it with multiple gold chains and his own Nike sneaks.

Katy Perry wore a nude colored lace Dolce & Gabbana tiered dress with headband and gladiator sandals.

Rihanna wore a denim shorts with a black tank and military jacket along with a fedora.

Vanessa Hudgens wore a teal cropped top, a sheer black maxi full length skirt with many accessories.

Nicole Ritchie wore an animal print top with cutoff shorts and strappy black heels.

Kate Bosworth wore an American flag shirt with white shorts and tan sneakers.

These were just some of the many sightings of celebrities in their Coachella attire. One thing for certain is that music and fashion are interrelated in how we express ourselves. Boho chic is a trend that seems like it's going to stay around for quite some time, so invest in some great gladiator sandals, floral printed skirts, and colorful loose tops, staying on the tribal theme.

KANYE WEST ENDS COACHELLA 2011 WITH A BANG!!!

Coachella 2011 just happened this past weekend and boy did everyone seem to enjoy it...[[ I enjoyed seeing FB updates on it within my home :D ]]

Though I was initially supposed to go, who knew so many celebrities would turn out?! Some names included Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Adrian Grenier, Ashley Greene, Lea Michelle, Usher, Paris Hilton, Kate Bosworth (in the general section, not VIP), Vanessa Hudgens, Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Ritchie...

This massive three day concert event held some of the biggest names in music! But besides the scorching temperatures and the day/after parties, it was the music that people were mostly talking about.

Kanye West was the final performer Sunday night where he performed a nearly two hour set! Kanye knew that Coachella was thee concert of the year saying, "When I was working on my ["Dark Fantasy"] album, I kept thinking that I couldn't wait to perform 'Power' at Coachella... Kanye's performance was the perfect topping to the cake, closing a long weekend full of talented artists and performers. Since Coachella gets bigger and better each year, I can't wait to see what's in store in 2012!!!

ET IS RELEASED!

After being leaked early online a few days ago, the official video for ET is here to stay! ET = Extra-terrestrial takes an outer space trippy vibe where Katy Perry, initially being an alien is sent to earth.

The video had a dark side apparent in many Kanye West videos who is also on the track and video. His cameo had him rapping in a "space module" with a bottom grill and the usually black outfit, black glasses. Katy Perry took a turn away from her usual cute fashion style, and opted for crazy makeup with animalistic contact lenses and flowy dresses.

At the end of the video, Katy Perry lands on earth, portrayed as a land fill where she finds a robot. In seeing their similarities and a partner in her new life, she kisses the robot which then takes it's human form an an albino. This can signify the joint life of aliens and humans that conform to an identical race. What do you think this video signifies?!
