~Mosaic Monday~ Pinks, Teals and X-mas Wishes!!!

Happy Happy Monday Chicas!!!

How was your weekend???

Mine:
LOTS of crafting,
took pics of like 100 new items for my shop,
dinner at the in-laws (yum!),
movies,
sore throat and killer headache :-(,
football Sunday,
a great church service,
and a mole removal on my back
(boooo for bad moles and too much sun/sunburns as a kid)

Good times! :-)

Anywho, on to the new week!
. . .
A big topic with the fam, the hubs and even at work is Christmas
Yes . . . you are right we are not even to Thanksgiving, but I am PUMPED!
Bring it all on. Going to start making my gifts this week, get er done!

Also thinking about what to put on my wish list.
Cause everyone's asking.
I want everyone to save their money and just give me lots of hugs:-)
Maybe some handmade items??
But they wanted more of a list.
Hmmm . . . well one thought is my old Uggs are old and tattered . . . time for new ones?!
(And for the price I have to make sure it's the perfect color ya know?!)
Could go basic black or gray . . .
but I'm a girl that needs color!

***Another hand picked Fabulously Free Giveaway***
Hosted by TJ from the adorable Etsy shop

Me:"What influenced you opening your Etsy shop?"

TJ: "I opened my Etsy shop just to test the waters with my products to see if anyone would buy them. So far, so good!"

Me: "Where do you gather inspiration from?"

TJ: "Gosh, inspiration comes from everywhere. A car driving down the road, a photo online, clothing, a phrase or expression of speech, music, basically from anything I see or hear. You never know when inspiration will hit you, so when it does write it down!"
Me:"Give us 2 words to describe your personal style"
TJ:"contemporary and classic"

Me: "What are your top 3 favorite shops/online stores?"
TJ:"j crew, theory, piperlime (I know, not super original, but it's the truth!)"

Me: "What was the BEST handmade gift that anyone has ever given you?"
TJ: "I don't think I've ever gotten a handmade gift!"

Me: "Tell us a little bit about your creative process."

TJ: "My creative process starts with an inspiration. I run a lot of my ideas by one of my besties to see what she thinks. If she thinks the idea is worth pursuing, then I move onto brainstorming ways to execute the idea. Once I've decided on the best solution, I usually got through quite a few revisions before I get to the final design or illustration."

Me: "What is your favorite item in your shop, or your top-seller?"
TJ: "My favorite product is the birthday dots card. It has such a special message."

Me: "Besides your wonderful items in your shop, what are some of your other creative outlets/hobbies?"
TJ: "Some of my hobbies are running, working out, and recently I'm getting into photography (although I have no idea what I'm doing yet!). I also love horseback riding and flying, but I haven't been able to indulge in these pastimes lately."

Me: "What do you want others to get out of your items/shop?"

TJ: "You know, it's a lot easier to buy a greeting card from a store front, so I really appreciate when someone makes the effort to order a card on Etsy. Since they took the time, I really want my customers to be happy with the product; I just want them to be happy."
Me: "Is there anything else that you would like to share with us about you or your fabulous creations?"
TJ: "Just that they're all handmade with love!"

~What this weekend has in store for me~
***A fundraiser for my best friend's mom***
(So sad! She's one of my other moms and I've known her since 2nd grade.  She's just been diagnosed with Lymphoma and has been going through chemo.  They have no ins. and her husband is injured from a work accident so can no longer work. VERY sad story, I've been praying for her every night. Anyway I rallied up my "troops" and we're all going to support.)

Spring Inspiration

Bring on SPRING!!!

Seriously, I'm sooooo ready! I know it's only February, and most people back east have been experiencing a lot of snow, etc. but I'm TOTALLY pumped for Spring!

So I just ordered a few bright necessary items:
Spring Clothes, shoes (Have I told you all I have a major shoe addiction?????)

and
 crafting-fun-times!!!
(Will post some lovely photos soon!)

When I work on my craft items, it always helps to have some nice inspiration! So . . .  using this mosaic I will be working on my new Spring Line for Memory Bean Designs . . . so stay tuned! :-) Cutesy turquoise, pinks, yellows and greens inspired by a Spring Garden . . .

Happy Wednesday!

P.S. Call me silly but I can't wait to see who the top 24 are for American Idol tonight:-) We're old married people and we have our shows we watch weekly. Cheesy? Yes but we love it!!!
