The Winners of the 2010 Oscar Awards had been announced. The ceremony had been held in Kodak Theatre, Hollywood, California, USA.

Actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin hosted the show. The best actor award went to the versatile actor Jeff Bridges for his outstanding performance in the film Crazy Hurt. The best actress award went to famous actress Sandra Bullock for her performance in the film The Blind Side.

Kathryn Bigelow won the award for the best film titled the Hurt Locker. The best foreign language film award went to the Argentinian film The Secret In Their Eyes. The award for the best actor in a supporting role went to the actor Christoph Waltz for his performance in the film Inglourious Basterds. The best animated film award went to the film Up.

The award for the best editing went to Bob Murawski and Chris Innis for the film The Hurt Locker. The award for the best actress in a supporting role went to Mo’nique.

There were a number of technical awards given in the ceremony. The sound editing award went to Paul N. J. Ottoson for the film The Hurt Locker. The Best Cinematographer award went to Mauro Fiero for the film Avatar.

The award for the best costume design went to Sandy Powell for the film The Young Victoria. The award for the best original score went to Michael Giachinno for the film Up. The award for the best original song went to ‘The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)’.

Most of the awards went to the film The Crazy Heart and The Hurt Locker. A lot of new performers and technical personalities won the awards which show the increase in the level of competition in the world of motion pictures in US.

The film industries all across the world are influenced by Hollywood films and should take the challenge of giving opportunities to new actors, actresses, singers, composers, editors, etc., to bring creativity in the works in future.
