Both Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley filed divorce suits against Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan respectively due to their relationship with Bipasha Basu. Salman Khan had to come all the way from abroad to save the situation. His playacting with Esha Deol had helped both Fardeen Khan and Anil Kapoor to ease out their relationship with their wives. When Sanjay Dutt came for sudden visit to his house as his flight got delayed, the chaos and confusion entertained the viewers. Fardeen Khan’s docile image in the film balanced the aggressive image of Sanjay Dutt. Bipasha Basu and Mugdha Godse complimented the stars in the film.

It is difficult for Fardeen Khan to match the popularity of Salmaan Khan or Shahrukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan in the present time. Daag-the Fire, Vaastav, etc. , which were action-pact films.

These days his image in comedy films had amazed the viewers. He had already shown his excellence in comedy films in the film Munna Bhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai. The film All the Best also showed his brilliance in this form of acting.

The nation remembers Feroz Khan on his birthday on 25th September, 2009. He had died this year and the nation had missed the style icon very badly. Feroz Khan started his career with romantic films.

His performance in the film Aarzoo, in the mid-60s with Rajender Kumar and Sadhna is well remembered even today. While Feroz Khan’s performance in romantic films like Ek Sapera Aur Ek Lutera was well appreciated, his skills in action films like Aadmi Aur Insaan, Mela, etc., created a separate identity for himself.

From the 70s, Feroz Khan got involved in production and direction of his own films and created gold in the next 20 years. His film Apradh with Mumtaz became super hit. His film Dharmatma with Hema Malini and Rekha created history in the mid-70s. It was modeled in the lines of Hollywood film Godfather where Marlon Brando played the lead role.

Feroz Khan’s action style mesmerized the viewers. He gave a stylish performance in the film Khote Sikke and Kala Sona. His Robinhood like image haunted the viewers. His style of riding cars, riding horses and jugglery with the guns showed touch of Hollywood actors. With the advent of action films in the mid-70s with the emerging of Amitabh Bacchan in the bollywood scenario, Feroz Khan’s demand in action film increased and increased.

His film Qurbani with Vinod Khanna and Zeenat Aman created storms in the early 80s. He gave a new defintition to action films with the film Jaanbaaz, where he protested against the trade of LSD and other Narcotic drugs. His film Yaalgaar with Sanjay Dutt, Manisha Koirala and Kabir Bedi also became super hit in the early 90s. One of the other shade of character of Feroz Khan was to promote the newcomers. Govinda tested his fortunes in the film Life Partner along with Tushar Kapoor and Fardeen Khan. Director Rumy Jaffery had taken veteran artists and did not experiment with the new comers in the film.

In the film Fardeen Khan had affair with Genelia Desouza. But they never knew whether marriage itself could have cemented the relationship between the two of them. Fardeen Khan’s friend Tushar Kapoor had a different approach in life.

For Tushar Kapoor, arranged marriage had better social recognition than love marriage. He came to know Prachi Desai, but wanted to marry her only if there was approval of her parents and relatives about the marriage. For him understanding between the husband and the wife were not enough for long term bond which could be restored only through the blessings of the relatives of both the spouses.


Govinda played the role of a lawyer who specialized in cases relating to separation. Suits relating to divorces attracted him more than any other cases. He did not believe in the institution of marriage. He meant that the institution of marriage depended on the relationship between the two spouses. If either of them never wanted to compromise, there was no logic for the other spouse to compromise just for maintaining the marital relationship.

The film revolved around the story of the three friends in achieving their goals with their related ideologies. Govinda did well as usual. The script was not strong enough for Tushar Kapoor and Fardeen Khan.


Genelia Desouza did well, but she did not look as gorgeous as Jane Tu Ya Jane Na. In a nutshell the film has ingredients of entertainment, but cannot address the demands of every type of viewers. The film may do average business. The story is not that innovative to make the film superhit.

No Entry probably is the most successful film of Celina Jaitley. She had an affair with Fardeen Khan which entered into controversy. Initially she thought Fardeen Khan had gone to commit suicide. She gathered the neighbours of the locality stop Fardeen Khan from committing suicide. But Bipasha Basu was send by Salman Khan to Anil Kapoor’s house, and Lara Dutta returned home saw both of them, Anil Kapoor told Lara Dutta that Bipasha was the wife of Fardeen Khan.

From that time onwards to hide one lie Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan went on telling numerous lies. Ultimately it led to filing of divorce by Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley. Salman Khan had to come all the way from abroad to settle their problem. Celina Jaitley even adjusted herself with the romantic locations of Mauritius. She deserves the credit for the success of the film along with Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu and Esha Deol.

She was sublime in the film Golmaal Returns. In the first film Golmaal, all the friends including Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, etc., were associated with only one actress that was Reema Sen. In the second part the friends interacted with a number of actresses including Kareena Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Amrita Arora and others.

The film was serio-comic in nature and Celina Jaitley maintained the comedy element in the film at par with the co-actors like Tushar Kapoor, who was dumb in the film and expressed his feeling with funny sounds and postures. She also gave elegant lips in the song “golmaal golmaal”, etc.

Celina Jaitley is still in search of dynamic roles in bollywood films which she did not get in her short career span. Viewers feel that she has acting in herself, the producers and directors had exploited only her screen presence and style statements, if they give her challenging roles she can prove herself in near future.
