Although Vidya Balan’s films like Kismat Conection with Shahid Kapoor or Hey Baby opposite Akshay Kumar did mediocre business in the last few years, the viewers had seen her strong performance in the film Bhoolbhulaiya.

She had done a good job opposite Abhishek Bacchan and Big B in the film Paa in 2009. She loved Abhishek Bacchan. Their child Big B suffered from a strange disease. Before death Big B united Abhishek Bacchan and Vidya Balan. Her reserve performance once again amazed the viewers. Anil Kapoor’s new film No Problem which is slated to release on 10th December, 2010, should get a good opening. The film had been directed by Aneez Bazmee. He had directed other super hit films in the past including No Entry. Anil Kapoor deserved a whole-hearted response from the audience because he had been an institution by himself in respect of comedy films. Most of those films did excellent business including Mr. India, Ram Lakhan, Jamai Raja, No Entry. The list can go on. In many terms he had remained a very underrated actor inspite of showing his versatility in every type of role including action based characters, romantic roles and comedy roles. Besides, after Dilip Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar, he had been one of the actors who concentrated more on the depiction of the character rather than the beauty and glamour as done by the majority actors. None of his characters played till now have any similarity. His performance in Tezaab, had no similarity with that of Ishwaar, or that of 1942 – A Love Story.

In No Problem, Akshay Khanna and Sanjay Dutt were bank robbers. While they robbed a bank in a village, the bank officer, namely Paresh Rawal got involved too. Anil Kapoor played the role of investigating officer who had handled many crooks in his life. He got married to Sushmita Sen. She had been the daughter of the Commissioner of Police played by Shakti Kapoor. Sushmita Sen had played the role of a split personality.

On one moment she had been a caring mother and wife. On the other moment she inclined to kill her husband. Anil Kapoor was inclined to chase Sunil Shetty who was alleged to have stolen diamonds. On the other hand, Paresh Rawal searced for Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Khanna to prove his innocence.

Akshay Khanna fell in love with Kangana Ranaut, who was the younger sister of Sushmita Sen. Akshay Khanna and Sanjay Dutt committed a last robbery in a minister’s house. But Sunil Shetty reached the house after both Akshay Khanna and Sanjay Dutt left. He could not find the diamonds and tortured the minister. The rest of the film hovered around the concept of how the investigators caught the crooks.

The performance of Anil Kapoor, SanjayDutt, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Khanna had been excellent. Sushmita Sen was brilliant in the films Maine Pya Kyun Kiya and Do Not Disturb. She did even better in this film. The music had been composed by Sajid Wajid, Pritam Chakravarty and Anand Raj Anand. The songs “no problem” sung by Wajid. Kamaal Khan, and others and “shakira” sung by Hard Kaur and Kalpana had been popular.

The film should do well.

Director Mani Shankar’s film Knock had got a very positive stream of responses. The viewers had accepted the film. The film had been produced by Sohail Maklai. The starcast of the film of Sanjay Dutt, Kangana Ranaut and Irfan Khan had drawn the audience from their houses.

Sanjay Dutt played the role of an assassin in the film. He blackmailed his victim with a sniffle rifle. Kangana Ranaut always had liking relating to assassin heroes. Kangana Ranaut played the role of a journalist in the film. Sanjay Dutt’s prey was Irfan Khan who had committed a number of offences and was compelled to face the magic at gunpoint before Sanjay Dutt.

The film received plagiarism charges in respect of having similarity with the film Phone Booth. Sanjay Dutt called up Irfan Khan in the telephone booth and compelled him to stay there and listen up otherwise he would have shot Rukhsaar. A drug addict was shot and killed by the caller in open street.

Sanjay Dutt and Irfan Khan were brilliant in the film. Gulshan Grover played his role as a corrupted politician in style. Kangana Ranaut acted well in the role of the journalist. The music of the film is mediocre. But the film being a prima-facie action film, so music does not play that important role in the film.

Sanjay Dutt should be happy with the response of the film, because he is going to have a big release coming up that Is Munnabhai Chale America. Viewers should watch the film.

She was sublime in the film Shool opposite Manoj Vajpayee, where the corruption in politics was at issue. Shool showed the high level of corruption in Bihar to such extent that some of the politicians wanted to ban the film.

She gave landmark performance in the film Jago opposite Sanjay Kapoor. Her daughter was raped by miscreants in local train in Mumbai and she prayed for justice in court of law. Manoj Vajpayee, the police officer in the film faced the resistance from different members of the society in proving the case. Raveena Tandon was brilliant in the film Daava opposite Akshay Kumar. In Munnabhai MBBS he used his muscle power to help Sanjay Dutt for giving exam on medical science and also for treating patients. Arshad Warsi had been great asset to the bollywood industry for his comedy skills especially due to the fact that in the last few years the only type of films which did steady business includes comedy films. His performance in the film Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya, with Sanjay Dutt and Isha Koppikar requires special mention. While Sanjay Dutt was an orthopedic surgeon in the film Arshad Warsi was an actor. He made an excellent submission in an artificial courtroom where the divorce of Salman Khan with Sushmita Sen was organized to impress Katrina Kaif. His comparison of Salman’s relationship with Sushmita Sen with a car whose break had failed and which dashed with every object on the road made everyone laugh. His lips in the song “saajan” along with Isha Koppikar, was equally impressive.

Similarly he had done a great job in the film Salaam Namaste with Saif Ali Khan in the role of a lawyer. Whenever Saif Ali Khan required legal assistance during fight against Preeti Zinta he took the help of Arshad Warsi and he gave a witty answer. His performance in the film Dhamaal was equally brilliant. He was one of the four friends including Ritesh Deshmukh, Javed Jaffery and other who went to Goa to get treasure. They were stopped at every point by Sanjay Dutt, the police officer who also went to Goa for the treasure. At the end of the film the money had to be given for the cause of orphan children.

In 2010, he had already showed his metal in the film Ishqiya, with Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah and the film You, me and ghost. Ishqiya had got both commercial success and critical acclaimation. Arshad Warsi had started his own production and is committed to do well there too.

In case of Fardeen Khan, he never tried to imitate Feroz Khan. Feroz Khan was famous for his stylish performance in action films including Apradh, Dharmatma, Khote Sikke, Qurbani, Jaanbaaz, Yalgaar, etc. In most of these films he introduced Hollywood style of acting in Indian films. Fardeen Khan instead of imitating his father created a simple style of acting which suited different types of films.

His performance in the film No Entry, requires special mention. He played the character of a journalist in the film in the company of Anil Kapoor. He had an affair with Celina Jaitley, but just because he had to save Anil Kapoor, he told a lie to Lara Dutta that Bipasha Basu was his wife.

Salman Khan had to come all the way from abroad to save the situation. His playacting with Esha Deol had helped both Fardeen Khan and Anil Kapoor to ease out their relationship with their wives. The film had excellent songs and the comedy sequences appealed to the viewers. The film ended up being a blockbuster.

The other notable films of Fardeen Khan included Bhoot with Urmila Matondkar, Jungle with Urmila Matondkar, etc. The film Jungle was based on the story of Veerappan in the forests of Karnataka where he became a smuggling don. Fardeen Khan’s performance in the film Dev was also worth mentioning.

In 2009, Fardeen Khan’s film All The Best with Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan did business worth 60 crore rupees. He played the role of the brother of Sanjay Dutt who used the pocket money to do weird acts. His friend Ajay Devgan used to give him ideas but it created more trouble for Fardeen Khan. Urmila Matondkar had given spirited performances in those films and amused the viewers. Her performance in the film Bhoot meaning ghost requires special mention. She was tortured and ill-treated by a person and after the death of the soul, the unsatisfied spirits entered Urmila’s body and disclosed the truth relating to the sad event to the people at large. The horror, fear, anxiety, etc., were expressed by Urmila in style. The role was difficult to perform and Urmila did it in style.

Her comedy performance in films like Daud opposite Sanjay Dutt was also appreciated. The film was related to stealing of property and the chase relating to them by Paresh Rawal and his men. Even her performance in the film Tehzeeb along with Shabana Azmi attracted the attention of intellectual audience. She did extremely well in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s film Pukar, opposite Anil Kapoor. She played the role of the daughter of a military major and interacted with Anil Kapoor. Anil Kapoor wanted to marry her, but her mother played by Rohini Hattangiri, was not interested as she got sick with the life military personnel.

Madhuri Dixit was a friend of Anil Kapoor, and due to jealousy with Namrata Shirodkar, she hatched a plan of disgracing Anil Kapoor. A false case was filed against him and he was thrown out from the armed forces. Namrata also left for accomplishing her career as a model and Anil Kapoor had to struggle to prove himself to be innocent.

Sanjay Dutt, who was a law-abiding citizen, killed one of the underworld person and from that time went on killing the other mafias and became an underworld don. But he also faced the agonies of living a life full of fear against the police. Namrata Shirodkar played the role of the wife of Sanjay Dutt in the film. She adjusted herself with the life led by Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay Dutt received filmfare award for his performance in the film.

Namrata Shirodkar left films at a time when she was being given good offers and challenging roles by many bollywood directors and producers. The viewers of bollywood films expect her to make a comeback as it there is requirement of experienced actresses in characters roles in modern films.

She started her career in bollywood films with the film Yahaan in 2005. It was directed by Sujit Sircar and he was looking for a newcomer at that time. Minisha Lamba created an impression and bagged an important role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s successful film Corporate.

Corporate was based on the complexities faced by the workers and the employers of the corporate world which is crude reality in the metros. Most of the employees in the corporate world become mentally sick with the monotonous work culture and demand of fulfilling targets. Bipasha Basu gave a lifetime performance in the film and Minisha Lamba also was appreciated for her strong performance.

Although Vidya Balan’s films like Kismat Conection with Shahid Kapoor or Hey Baby opposite Akshay Kumar did mediocre business in the last few years, the viewers had seen her strong performance in the film Bhoolbhulaiya.

She had done a good job opposite Abhishek Bacchan and Big B in the film Paa in 2009. She loved Abhishek Bacchan. Their child Big B suffered from a strange disease. Before death Big B united Abhishek Bacchan and Vidya Balan. Her reserve performance once again amazed the viewers.
She should continue to act in reserve roles which suits her characteristics in the years to come.

She continued her dream run after giving a brilliant performance in the film Lage Raho Munnabhai. The film was related to Gandhigiri. Sanjay Dutt on one hand showed his level of maturity in comedy roles especially as Munnabhai. On the other hand Vidya Balan displayed her effortlessness in acting in the film. She played the role of a keeper of old age home, who faced the problem of being ousted from the place by Boman Irani. Sanjay Dutt used his Gandhigiri to convince Boman Irani was adamant. Vidya Balan’s dialogue good morning Mumbai as radio jockey and lips in the song “pal pal pal pal” amused the viewers.

After the success of Lage Raho Munnabahi, Vidya Balan got offers to act in many films like Bhoolbhulaiya, Hey Babby, etc. In Bhool Bhulaiya she even succeeded to play the role of ghost in the film Bhoolbhulaiya opposite Akshay Kumar. But to her ill luck none of these films did great business and her demand in bollywood films started decreasing.

A big section of viewers believe that ultramodern make up does not suit Vidya Balan and wherever she tried to play those roles they were not accepted by the audience at all. The best example was Hey Babby. She played the role of a girl who had settled in Australia. She came to India to attend a wedding where she got attached with Akshay Kumar. The subject relating to the little child of Vidya Balan had promise, but Vidya Balan’s make up did not help her.

The other films like Kismat Connection opposite Shahid Kapoor also did not do well in the box-office. Some way or the other she is not there in the number one spot in bollywood which is shared by Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
She requires a super hit film very soon to stay in the competition. There is lot of expectation from the film Paa. Already the viewers are anxious to see Big B with a strange make up in a role of a 13 year old child. Paa can change the destiny of Vidya Balan. Let us hope it does well.

The film Blue was expected to be the year’s greatest blockbuster with crores and crores of money being invested behind the film. While the film All the best ended up being super hit, Blue received a very mediocre response.

Director Anthony D Souza got inspired by Hollywood films Jaws and The Deep and made a film related to underwater life. There was treasure hidden underneath the sea, which the three friends Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar and Zaid Khan tried to find.

Lara Dutta’s efforts in learning scuva diving had gone in vain. She had taken very daring stunts in the film Blue. She had learned underwater diving and showed the skills in the film. Even Akshay Kumar’s acrobatic stunts had gone in vain.

The main reasons for the film not doing going business is related to the negative attitude of the audience towards action films. Besides the Indian audience had not been matured enough to embrace adventurous films.

The failure of the film will have no impact on the career of Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar. Sanjay Dutt already got a hit film this year that is All the Best. Akshay Kumar can cover up the loss with his next film De Dana Dan.

The major impact of the film lies on the career of Lara Dutta. She did not get the recognition for her hit films. This time when she had really performed with her physical fitness, her effort had also gone in vain.

Whatever may be the box-office report of the film, the camera work of the film had been excellent and can influence other filmmakers in making daring films in future.

In Vijeta she played the role of an honest police officer who loved a lawyer Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay Dutt took law in his own hands to punish the killers of his senior lawyer played by Aloknath. Raveena realized that her superior police officer Amrish Puri was a criminal himself and sided with Paresh Rawal. The performance of Raveena in a daring role in Vijeta amazed the viewers. She also showed her comedy skills in the film Andaz Apna Apna opposite Ami Khan ad Salman Khan.

But later on in her career she got challenging roles. She got the national award for the best actress for her brilliant performance in the film Daman. It was related to ill-treatment of women. She was sublime in the film Shool opposite Manoj Vajpayee, where the corruption in politics was at issue.

To the amazement of most of the viewers of bollywood films, the film All the best got a brilliant opening, when released on the same date with the film Blue and Mr. Aur Mrs Khanna. Most of the viewers thought that the other two films would have got a greater opening.

In this film Sanjay Dutt had been shown as a businessman in London. His brother Fardeen Khan always wanted money from Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay Dutt did not marry anyone but pretended to have married Mugdha Godse.

Ajay Devgan was a dealer of cars. He was married to Bipasha Basu. Due to financial debts both Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt borrowed money from the local gangstar Johnny Lever. From there the problems of both the gentlemen started.

The rest of the film was related to the story of how the two individuals Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan managed to face Johnny Lever in relation to their debts. The film had been directed by Rohit Shetty. Ajay Devgan produced the film along with acting in it.

The character actors and actresses in the film did exceeding well including Asrani, Mukesh Tiwari, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sanjay Mishra, to name a few. Pritam had composed the music of the film and one of the songs titled “All the best” had already become a hit.

There are two reasons for the success of the film All the best over Blue and other films. One reason is that the lives of most of the middle-class Indians had been stressed out. They find relief in seeing comedy films over other types of films. So action films and romantic films do not have the same market as comedy films.
The other factor had been the combination of Rohit Shetty with Ajay Devgan and other group of actors. He had used them in Golmaal which was a hit, and therefore knew how to make the best use of their acting talent.
